andy_s
my franchi 48-al has just given up on me and i dont think it'll be worth trying to get it fixed so can i legally sell a broken gun providing it is still in proof?
rcooke25552
If you can't you could always dispose of it in my direction.
Barney86
I believe you can, but you wont get much for it broken! As above, anyone will take it off your hands if the price is right. Most people on here would give you a tenner just to use it for spare parts. Myself included.

Most people on here would give you a tenner just to use it for spare parts. Myself included. As Barney86 and rcooke25552 have said they both have an interest, you never know how many others also might have an interest so put it up for the highest bidder, obviously you need to give a price to be within the forum rules, I would suggest a sensible price but who am I to suggest anything. Good luck mate, Jimmy
andy_s
thanks for the replies but as said if it's only worth a tenner or so then not much point in the hassle of selling it. thanks for the offers though guys.
rcooke25552
What's up with it. If your not a million miles away I will give you a tenner for it.
andy_s
The bolt wont lock open and there is no reistance when pulling it back. Thanks for the offer mate but as I said, at a tenner I may aswell keep it incase I buy another 48-AL at some point.
al4x
simple answer is yes you can sell it, definitely worth more than a tenner but only what someone is prepared to pay for it. Breaking it for spares is an option but you would need to inform your FEO of your intentions and work out declaring it as scrapped. after all try and buy a barrel or stock for one and you see why its worth a bit in bits
hushpower
or hand it in to the local police station to save any hassle,farmer/keeper mates of mine have done it and do do it.

rcooke25552
Sounds like a broken pin or spring or something similar.
andy_s
well i finally got around to taking it apart today and found that nothing was broken at all. the action spring had got jammed in the tube at the joint probably down to lack of lubrication so a good clean and oil and it's as good as new. thanks for all the replies and offers guys.
