Broken BSA Ultra

I am not happy! Just been out on local golf course after a few bunnies, shot two and then went to load another pellet only to have the catch which releases the pellet probe and allows the magazine to cycle has sheared off and just dropped off in my hand!

The rifle is only about 3months old and has only had about 200 pellets through it so it is going back to the shop tomorrow!

Anyone heard of this problem before?

Anthony

Dont pay for the repair if you did nothing deliberate to break the thing. If you are sure its not your fault then its a manufacturing fault and the full cost of the repair should be met by the dealer that you bought the gun from-not the maker as your contract to supply the gun was with him.The dealer is entitled to attempt a repair and is permitted a "reasonable" amount of time to do so-I would suggest 14 days maximum. If this is not possible then under your consumer rights you may demand a refund/replacement.If you are not happy in any way then contact consumer direct for assistance.

Thanks fors the replies guys - after phoning the shop they said it would have to to back to BSA, so I took the scope, bipod, silencer etc off and took it to the shop. They repaired it there and then in 10 minutes so very pleased, just need to check the zero again now and then off out to get some more bunnies...
