Salop Matt
If so what jacket do your wear for shooting ? Maybe am a big girl but I was looking for something with padded elbows ! I cant seem to find anything so was going to try glueing or stitching in some foam/rubber pads into a mil surplus combat jacket ! Surely am not the only one who would appreciate some comfort ? Iv only done this HFT twice now but enjoyed it, how ever my shooting has always been standing from sticks or from a car seat across the wing mirror. I found paintballing padded trousers but at £45 - £50 i will just use my dickies trousers with slide in padding !
TaxiDriver
wondered this before........ what is HFT at a guess, something Field Target ? what about gel elbow and knee pads under clothing (then ya wont look like a wussie )
Salop Matt
Hunter Field Target - Brief summery is sub 12fpe air rifles shooting the metal drop down targets at random distances and you obviously shoot to score, 2 points if you drop the target, 1 for hitting it and not droping it and nothing for a miss. No scope twiddling just get on peg and shoot. Its ment to be a hunter friendly version of FT and aimed so that anyone with pretty much any old chair leg can turn up and give it a bash and its more about being well practised with your kit than dialing in info into the most expensive tech you can afford. Or so I belive With my boney scrawney horrid elbows the gell arm pads havent been ruled out yet ! lol
bennyblanco
Your elbows will man up after a few more rounds On some tricky courses a low shooting position might get you a kill that you can't get with pads in, although I guess you could just remove the jacket The only places that really hurt me were Quarry in Wales and Ford Ranges on the south coast(shooting off a runway :look: )

Tiger955i
Hi Mate I have heard of some people using motorcycle jackets but tihs is sometimes frowned upon I I would not lie down in the mud in mine lol. How about neoprene sports supports. These will stay in place and are quite padded. ATB
Al Downie
I use an AIM range mat, which is like lying down on a double bed. Brilliant thing! I have loose cartilage in both elbows (that's why you must NEVER run in swimming pools children!) and have to use something to pad my elbows. I prefer to wear normal clothes and carry a mat, than to have big lumps constantly annoying my elbows.
