plexer
Need to make them out of wire with croc clips on so I can hang them from the arms on my rotary, but thanks anyway. Ben
Lord Geordie
Old Metal coat hangers and either Braze or solder the clips to the ends LG
plexer
That's what I was thinking but what about length? Ben
Lord Geordie
How long is a wingspan? Get yourself a dead pigeon and try it out for size is the best info i can offer LG
plexer
Yeah I know that would be best but can't right now and wanted to make them to use the rotary next time I go out. Ben
Lord Geordie
I would go with about 450mm tip to tip if needs be you can bend the wire to make it shorter. LG
Cranfield
Length is not that crucial. I have measured my two different types of rotary cradles and from wing grip to wing grip, one is 18 inches, on the other its 23 inches. The operative word is grip, in both cases they are crocodile clips. These can hold the wing right at the tip, or closer to the body, without affecting the presentation. Don't forget to allow for some bend in the wire.
