B25Modelman
I want to get it sorted before I hand back to its owner my brother. When we were Sea scouts, I remember Mum taking us to the scouts shop to buy us a knife each. I lost mine many years ago but the brother loaned me his. So I would like it to look good as new if possible. Googling brings up knife makers but not much on restoration. thanks

It would probably cost a lot more than the value of the knife to pay someone to do it for you? The blade looks like mainly a polishing job starting coarse then ever finer paper then metal polish and a good sharpen. Perhaps some stain and leather conditioner on the sheath? sporting shot
soak for a couple of hours with some WD40 then rub it lightly with the finest grade wire wool you can get - 0000 grade is best I'd put a good edge on it as the blade shows caricture
