.philmypower.
Hi was wondering what your opinions are. Im sat hat home staring out of the window and cant decide weather to have a few hours on the bunnies. The problem is its chucking it down and allthough i dont mind getting wet i dont want to lay in a field in the rain if the rabbits will just be in their burrows. Whats your opinion will they show or not???
TaxiDriver
if you literally mean laying out and getting wet ?........personally I wouldn't bother if it's a bit drizzly but not cold and you can maybe sit under a brolly or poncho ? it might beat Sunday afternoon telly ? caeser
I had a good afternoon in the rain shooting rabbits a couple of years ago. Although I did have the comfort of the 4x4. I had actually gone to go pigeon shooting, but the rain was really bad. I parked the 4x4 alongside a narrow wood, looking down the edge. Opened the side passenger window, and sat there with the .17 hmr just popping rabbits off every few minutes as they came out of the wood. I ended up with 17 in 2 hours. So , I don't think the rain puts them off much.

Dekers
I will TEND to find if we have had a number of days of good weather and then rain, it is not very productive. After a prolonged period of rain (several days) it makes no odds, they get hungry and just have to deal with the wet regardless!
.philmypower.
Hi guys had a few hrs today managed 2 rabbits on one of my best spots, usually i would expect around 9 in that time but as TAXIDRIVER said it sure was better than sunday afternoon tv, even if i did get soaked. remmy1100
well done lad I often shoot in the rain and many times been soaked through ,rabbits still come out and the rain makes it harder for them to pickup noise and deadens sound ov shots.I once lamped in rain with my daughter doing lamp work and shot 28 rabbits in one field ,got myself some ov them new river west waterproof pants and jacket so my days ov getting soaked are gone atb nick
kent
Had some cracking lamping when the rain has come on heavy mid sesion, i think it disturbs the bunnies scense of direction home or something. Seem to squat more and only run short distances in quite random dirctions in contrast to dry nights
