cant hit rabbits 123
Evening chaps, How do I remove the stock from a Bettinsoli over and under? I've decided that I want to have a look inside and clean where appropriate, as once a month I take both my pump action and semi auto apart, right down to individual parts level, and give them a good clean. I've never been able to do this with my over and under and I may even find myself needing to do repairs one day. Many thanks in advance. JustJon
As in removing barrels from stock?
cant hit rabbits 123
No, I remove the fore end and barrels after every shoot, and give the bores a clean. I meant the stock from the action. Sorry.
mfletch
Its usually a long bolt through the back of the stock
steve_b_wales
The stock is usually held onto the action by means of a longish bolt. Take the butt pad/rubber off, and you should see a hexagon/slotted bolt. Once undone, the stock removes easily. Steve.

ChrisAsh
If you remove the butt a lot you will wear out the screw holes holding it on. You do not need to do anything to the action unless you feel something is wrong or a service every few years, best left to a gunsmith unless you really understand the action and safety catch etc
