chippy18
Hi Is there anyone who knows anything about Isuzu's. Just brought my lad a cheap 2001 Trooper Duty 3.0L Duty and it has a bit of a rough tick over and it sort of holds back when it accelerates. It does not stall just ticks over a bit rough. Any advice would be very helpful. Cheers
snowz
Should of bought the 3.1td engined one, the 3.0 are renowned for leaking injectors and bad heads, best thing for you to do is get it checked out and hope you have deep pockets I have a 3.1TD and it's been faultless since I've owned it
mfletch
Change fuel filter and clean the air filter. Is there any diesel leaking from the rear if yes one of the diesel pipes have corroded Its not to hard to fix just use proper rubber fuel pipe to replace the rusty steel pipe I love my 3.0 Lit Edited June 14, 2011 by mfletch

shaun4860
They did a recall last year on the 3.0 engines, replaced injectors and turbo on my mates 12 year old car and it must have cost Izuzu a fortune, check if yours has been done. shaun
MITCHF
Get on to the Isuzu forum www.itocuk.co.uk Second that, just bought a 3.0ltr LWB, this site is great for advice and tips. Also, if you call ISUZU (IAM) with your chassis number, they'll put you through to their Customer Care team who are excellent, then they'll tell you if your vehicle has had it's recall's completed. If not you can get them done at your nearest dealer :-) I'm really enjoying my Trooper and I was a LR fan for years

jacksdad
I've just bought a 3.0 TD, got loads of help on itoc site, superb I rang Isuzu GB, gave the man the reg. no. and he had all the details on screen, mine had an inspection April 2010, everything had been done regarding the warranty work, the injectors were checked and all perfect, and the mileage was 88k, 91 when I bought it last week. They had a bad problem with this engine, and have rectified it as they are cracking vehicles so didn't want any bad press: More than can be said of most car makers!
