24230
Had a few good hours today on winter barley with my son started at 11:00 , put out a roter and they came in to take a look big mistake, shot around 70 but had to go at 14:00. The damage they do cannot be repaired so keep a look out and hope for more of this wind.
Cranfield
Nice result, its a shame you couldn't have shot the whole day. The barley in our area is standing tall, with no flattened areas. Probably due to the shorter stalks and the lack of heavy rain to knock it down.
UKPoacher
We have three fields of set aside barley that is being hammered by the woodies. I'd have decimated them every day this week if I could get on them. Problem is that these fields are also our prime partridge nurseries so I leave them alone. We have no laid barley either and am awaiting the crows to get to work making crop circles in the wheat. I've been on the clover instead; 15 and 22. Better then recent shoots, but not a patch on what I would have had on the set aside
