May be worth checking the battery to see if it actually accepted the charge.

hi iv been using two batts 12v-18ah also a 12-12ah which one ov theses would you recomened.....

HR............

Hi,

The following assumes that the batteries are in good condition.

Either battery will be fine, just that the 18Ah will last half as long again as the 12. The best answer is to find out what power (you may need an electrician mate with his multimeter) the rotary is pulling and then you'll have a more accurate assessment of battery charge life.

The easiest way to solve your problem is to try a known good battery (car?). If it's still slow then unless you can get replacement parts, you're right, it's bin fodder. If it spins as normal, then one or both of your batteries are either flat or duff.

Cheers

A lot i have seen use a ford motor, so take a pic and post it up on here, if it is a w/screen motor type it will be a cheap fix.
