i use a laser sight and they are very handy peices of equiptment to have!! if mounted as close to the barrel as possible you can zero a laser in at 5m, if the laser is mounted very closely in line with the barrel the 5m zero will still be at zero at say 20-25m give or take a cm! why people mount them high on a scope i do not know   but also how many times have you been out in a field, stoped for a rest and noticed a ribit right next to your feet? its to close to look through your scope and in tying to you would prob send the rabit running!! but with a laser you simply push a button and pull the trigger!! :shoot::shoot:

I've used one as a rangefinder when using a .22 as the drop off is more than .177. It was also useful for highlighting any twigs that were in the way that did not show through the scope and rabbits in half light such as at dusk and dawn or moonlit nights when it was too dark to see properly through the scope but not dark enough to warrant a lamp.

Also, as has been said; for close range ratting you can't beat a laser clamped right next to the barrel.

i use mine for close range rats so i no quickly were my POI is at 10yards as my scope is zeroed at 35yards find it very handy and when out lamping i can quickly target rabbit and see were my gun is aiming as soon as the rabbit is seen (gun mounted lamp) worth getting :good:
