reggiegun
Hi, Do any of you put bird grit in your pens, if so what do you use and how much do you pay and at what intervals. Reggiegun
markm
Get yourself some empty 5 ltr square plastic bottles, cut a square out about 2/3 of the way up, screw it to a tree or post just off the ground and fill with grit. The birds will help themselves when needed or pour a bag under a shelter in the pen.

Now i like that idea, we do the pouring on the ground or in grit trays and the little **** just scratch it about all over the shop. Now in a container screwed to the feeder leg......... mmmm, just need some small bottles now....
ColinF
We use cheap seed trays from B&Q for grit, about 4 or 5 trays in each pen, they scratch some out but not too much. We got the grit from our feed supplier and I think it was about £8 or £9 a bag.
