Spara Dritto
Well for sometime now it's bothered me not being able to see clearly inside the cabinet and it led to me getting a few dents on the old gun (now sold) and I don't want this to happen to my new one. I was filling up at the petrol station today and saw one of these: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=led+magnetic+lights&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=939&bih=535&tbm=isch&tbnid=Q8NQn-bVWMSsTM:&imgrefurl=http://www.priceinspector.co.uk/p/led%252520clip%252520light/c/465/Home-Garden/General-Household/Lighting/f/desc,True/&docid=MwK5zA8NV8zTDM&w=268&h=400&ei=ncQuTrXbBcvLsgbckJES&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=287&page=3&tbnh=117&tbnw=78&start=27&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:27&tx=52&ty=63 To cut a long story short they are awesome, very bright and magnetic so you can stick it anywhere in the gun cabinet all for £2.99!!! Light off: Light on: Save your self some dents and scratches and get one, the magnetic back works a treat! ziplex
It's so dark in the cupboard under our stairs I leave one of my head torches hanging in there....every now and then my mrs will appear from the gloom with a head torch on while looking for something I really should get a light sorted. You make a good point about damaging your gun, my brand new SP was dinged after only having it home a few days, I hadn't even shot it and was not a happy chap

HDAV
Nice idea, that has to be the emptiest cabinet i have ever seen with the strangest bolts too (are they packed out with 10 washers each?) no wonder your worried about dings!

Spara Dritto
i normally just switch on the light in the room. I do to but my cabinet is in the corner of a built in wardrobe behind a wall (if that makes sense). As for the bolts, they are just plastic covers that go over the bolts to stop you scratching the gun. The bolts only stick out about a CM I'm not to sure why the plastic comes out so much!
