twitchynik
It's funny how I didn't see any of those guys up there keeping the birds off during the bitterly cold weather we had back in December, but they descend on the place in their hordes during Summer time. Cat. If you want a hand during the winter then drop me a note, I'm more than happy wrapping up and getting out there Certainly can't be as cold as standing around waiting for duck first/last thing
Batch
Cheers guys, much appreciated! Hoping things will take a turn for the better before long as this could be my last decent crack at summer pigeons, before opportunities become few and far between due to the pitter patter of tiny feet
Beardo
I had a reasonable 21 for 2.5 hours last Thursday on 1 day old rape stubble near St Albans. Same field today a very disappointing 5 for 2 hours! They seemed to spook easily on the magnet today, I guess the young ones are getting wise having been shot at over the last week. Catamong
They seemed to spook easily on the magnet today, I guess the young ones are getting wise having been shot at over the last week. That's exactly what I found on the two occasions I shot over rape stubble last year, so much so I took the magnet in around mid morning on both days and they then committed much better. I also knew for a fact that neither of these fields had been shot before, so for some reason the birds were deffo magnet shy, but when shooting over Winter drillings or Winter Rape, then they are an absolute must. Cat. PS - Note to twitchynik, of course we can find a space for you, PM me your contact details.
