BenBhoy
hey guy, hope this link works. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIPLE-PIGEON-DECOY-BOUNCER-FLOATER-DEAD-BIRD-CRADLE-/190500963912?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2c5abe0648 i got one of these couple months back but not had chnce to take it out yet, end of week hopefull. i intend on using it as shown in pic, like bird just about to land, wing tips pointing upwards. just wondering what general feeling is on where to position in pattern? was thinking near the front of my kill zone, in the hope of it acting as encouragement boost to others flying towards. steve_b_wales
It looks okay, but it's expensive, and you can get the same 'Angel' effect on a floater/bouncer, by adding some wire to spread out the wings. I'm going to try making a few on the weekend.
30-6
I've been using that type of thing for years, homemade. This is how i made it up. Bit of aluminium tube pop rivetted to a metal tent peg so as to stick in ground, at top end cut a plastic gutter bracket ( just a u shape ) to support the chest of the bird fix onto tube with 2 small nuts/bolts to stop swivelling of bracket, use one of the bolts to attach a bit of wire going up the tube and bent 90 degrees to put birds head on. At either end of gutter bracket drill a hole and attatch a bolt with a wingnut, around this fix a length of wire with a small crocodile clip and shape so as to attatch birds wing ( the wingnut allows you to fold the wire back on itself for ease of carrying ). Job done. Light, strong and effective, and can be put on ground or gate / fence.
