Bushman Pete
Hello all, I have been reading the reloading section with great interest. I have very kindly been given some reloading equipment at the clay ground I shoot at. I have a MEC 600jr 12g (Must be an early one, instructions are from 1974) I also have these components. Can they still be used? Do I just match the same sizes of wads etc with the recipes? Can you be a few mm out? 300 ish Winchester 209 primers Card discs, around 2mm, and some 3mm (Made by Eley I think) Fibre wad around 10mm (3/8) Eley Kleena Fibre wad around 20mm (Has a cap on each end) The only powder I have found that lists winchester primers is Hodgdon. My local gunsmith has some longshot but it is not cheap. I am hoping reload mainly for wildfowling but might experiment with other game and clay loads. I was planing to start with a load for geese using lead. (Inland Shooting) So any pointers would be more than welcome. Pete

Bushman Pete
Pete you cant shoot lead at wildfowl mate inland or foreshore You can in Scotland Up here you cannot use lead over any wetland, but stubble field where I will be shooting is fine. Not like in England.
Andy H
If your primers are std 209 and not 209M (Magnum) then use the data for a cheddite CX200 primer with Vectan powders.
Bushman Pete
Thank you for the reply. Yes they are the standard ones. It is good to know I can make use of them. I have to say until I looked into reloading I never realised there was so much too it. Is there a place where I can get recipes? I have seen reference to a Clay & Game CD But I cannot find it.
