roughshooter
I have a pot of N310, N320 and N330 lurking on the shelf. Sadly I cannot seem to find any data for shotshell - any one got any? Thanks in anticipation Graham
Vince Green
N310 and N320 are fast pistol powders and in the case of N310 very fast and peaky but I wouldn't think they are at all suitable for shotgun. N330 I don't have any experience of. Best to sell them on to one of the pistol calibre carbine boys. The number indicates the burning speed N310 is fastest N330 slowest of the three. N330 is popular with the cowboy action shooters I believe. Edited August 8, 2011 by Vince Green

roughshooter
The circa 1991 Clay/Game booklet cites N320 for use in C.F. case 21 grains for 1 oz to 1 1/8 oz using a 686 primer (medium) Also for 7/8 oz, in a 2" case with obt. and fibre wad; 21 grains of N310 with a CCI 209 primer Thanks for that FC - sadly not too many compression formed cases lurking in the cellar! It would seem that the americans used to use the powders and that could explain why. I am sure a recipe will turn up and the good news is that it doesn't go off so I will keep looking or swap it for something else Regards Graham
