Piebob
My 3 month cocker has begun to bury things in the garden - toys, chews, socks, anything. I've read somewhere that some cockers (and maybe other dogs? but deffo cockers) sometimes bury game after retrieving it. Have any of you experience of this trait? Should I try to stop him burying things now to prevent it in the future? Or am I worrying too much and should just let him continue? MC
There was an article in a recent shooting mag about this, especially about cockers burying game that had been retreived and doing it so well that other dogs and humans couldn't find it. I'll see if I can find it and let you know Cheers Martin

Dead-Eyed Duck
Wonderful dog just like my cocker. As long as you remember that they are totally insane you cannot go far wrong. Just remember that it will take it years to train you. Who wants a boring springer that you can't boast about. Don
