I am thing of getting shot of my Beretta and maybe going for a John Macnab Highlander, only reason is just to be a bit different as there are so many 686 or 687 on every shoot i go to. I mostly shoot pigeon have a gun on local shoot (driven and rough)and a few clays.

Has anyone got one, used one and what do you think about them or heard.

Thanks

Hi mate - I owned a Macnab Highlander 20g Sideplate model 29" barrels with lovely wood too. It was one of the better quality models made by B Rizzini for Macnab. I really loved this little game gun and I regret getting rid of it but I was made redundant at the time and couldn't afford to keep it. Some of the Macnab's were considerably overpriced in my opinion but theses little Rizzini's were and still are good little guns. Basically they are a Rizzini Artemis with a case hardened action and a different name. I picked up a Macnab Claymore 12g in the Cheshire Gun room a while back and I liked it too - they also had a Macnab Teal or Woodcock I can't remember which now but that was supposedly brand new but it was a total piece of **** - I would not have give £300 for it - nevermind neck end of 3k. :good:
