COLINSRI
I have just got delivery of 0.177 hollow points...0.177 pointed heads 0.177 flatheads and 0.22 round heads. I have never used hollow points but read that their range is limited. If this is the case i would presume that pointed heads have increased range and the flats have a very decreased range. I will be testing range on targets tomorrow (before i use on any quarry). Whats the general opinion on these four types of pellet both for range and for hunting ability, or just for plinking. henry d
I have a HW35 and the RWS hollow and hobby are the best for me as most of my shooting is 5-20 mtrs at feral pigeon in barns. They kill them dead and do not pierce the roof skin. Domed for distance IMO.

deadeye ive
Colin The best pellet will be the one that groups well in your set up and I'll bet you pound to a pinch of salt it'll be domed mate . Keep it simple ............one pellet for everything
coupe312
i just the rws hobby ( flat head) for real close range and mainly targets ( in barns or in allotments) the super h point mid range to 3o yard, where missing has a major problem. not too keen on the superdomes now, move to accupel as for pointed, keep carefully as any distortion of the tip causes masive accuracey problems
