HDAV
I have a HW 95 in .22 that I had as a lad, got it just before I stopped shooting.... Anyway it's .22 how much is involved in making it .177? Is it just a new barrel? Or is it more involved? Mine has the weight on the end not a silencer at the time I was told there was no need for a silencer as the action made more noise than the pellet exiting the barrel still true? Would it be worth having a silenced .177 barrel? Anyone got an idea of cost?
M.I.A
You would need a new spring too or it would be under powered, and silencers on springers are pointless in my eyes. To be honest it would just be alot better to buy a second hand or even a new rifle in .
yankeedoodlepigeon
My brother just spent a lot of time doing up a HW77K as they were the best around the time he was shooting. He wishes he had invested the time and money into a modern pcp.
terrior
HELLO ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE TO DO IT PROPERLY JUST CHANGE THE RIFLE. ALL BECAUSE TO KEEP UP TO MAX POWER WITHIN THE 12FT LAW THE TWO WEIGHT PELLETS TRAVEL AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS DEPENDING ON PELLET WEIGHT. NOT EXACT FIGURES BUT .177 IS AROUND 800 FEET PER SECOND BUT DUE TO HEAVIER PELLET.22 IS AROUND 600 FEET PER SECOND SO WHY HAVE A LOW POWERED .177 CHEERS
dadioles
Enjoy your .22 if only as a keepsake. If you want a .177 then get one. Personally I like the Rapid pcp.
Spanishfly
Not worth messing about - sell it and buy a .177.
HDAV
Thanks, I'll keep it as .22 in that case

Good tuning and you have a very quiet rifle. Why are you wanting to go .177 unless your target shooting the differences are minimul and are a play off one advantage one disadvantage, for what 5yds extra trajectory
Clubshot
Try some lighter Pellets The Defiant 5.52 @ 14 Grains Shoot shoot flater and faster than most wasted pellets And Still hit home hard enough Aware many have looked into Calibre Change and many found better to buy a New Gun or Second hand in Calibre of Choice BOB/R
