dunganick
I needed to extend my gun by aprox 1" and didnt fancy the traditional volcanite extension (big ugly black thing) so thought i would try and make an adjustable butt pad. below is MK1 (non adjustable, just assembled to test this weekend) next week i will be milling a groove down the rear plate so that it is adjustable for drop (it is fixed at the moment) still need to do some polishing etc too remove some of the file scratches, but im quite pleased with how its coming along. (of course it could all fall apart at clays this weekend ) Edited April 28, 2006 by dunganick

Dunkield
The stuff you need is 'Solvol Autosol' Nick - not whatever I called it further up, makes your fingers go black but it is just what need to finish that off
Sussexboy
Ahhh, solvol autosol and "000" wire wool, used to bring up the crankcases of my Bonneville like chrome. ( thats a proper motorcycle for our younger listeners)
Axe
A mate of mine had a T140 US Custom. It had a onepeice tank and side panels, know it? Anyway, this thing was damn quick to a ton and that was compared to my ZZR1100. I was quite impressed up to the point he blew it up trying to stay with me. Noubt wrong with a bit of Autosol. Sussexboy
I had the T-140V US custom, little one and a half gallon peanut tank and hi rise bars. As you say very good acceleration up to a ton, anything faster and your knuckles were a blur from the vibration. Happy days!! Dunkield
I used to have Lotus 7 which was all unpainted aluminium, so you can imagine I am not keen on the sight of solvol autosol these days - my fingers used be black for days after giving it an all over polish Funnily enough I found a picture of the car the other day, we will have to have an 'all our yesterdays' thread in sporting pictures
