nabbers
Hi I have a tub of A0 Powder gathering dust. Can anyone tell me anything about it's characteristics? Looking at the Nobel site, they give 40g and 50g shot recipes, so I guess it used in Duck and Goose cartridges? Some examples off that site 12/70 CX2000 40G 1,80 380 M/S 700 Bar 12/70 M684 50G 2,00 370 M/S 800 Bars Anyone got any recipes for using this powder in smaller shot loads or is it totally unsuitable? Anyone got any use for it? Swoppsies West Yorkshire?

I use it for 20gauge it does a nice 28 gram load, I would swap it for some shot if you ever come down this way

Andy H
28 grains Vectan AO with a Gualandi h 17 wad CX2000 primer all behind 32 grams of shot topped off with a 6 point crimp gives you 594 bar pressure.
Guest cookoff013
used for mainly light steel clay loads and 36g lead loads.

nabbers
CAREFUL!!!!! Is it old A0 or new A0!!!!! Old is dark shiny green with a brown flake New is a paler green with a pale brown flake. Sorry it is Vectan AO NEWISH!!! Bought 3 weeks ago from a local gunshop, just because they had it for sale and I reckoned I could use it, reloading components are thin on the ground around here!! Still in date! A swop for some no4 shot would be good anyone nr Leeds/Bradford Airport . Although if not, I'll give it a try , I'm wanting to try as many different recipes as possible and it can be fun to have a variety of loads.... Wasteful though, eh The 20gauge recipe does 28gram @ 1250fps for 20grains of powder which is actually quite economical
