stuart21
Hi, I have just bought some Tungsten Matrix 32g #3, will these bo okay for ducks and geese over a flightpond? I am slightly concerned that they aren't enough for the geese and too much for the ducks, what do you think?
Guest cookoff013
they are perfect. maybe alittle too light for canadas, but good enough range ie not too far and it`ll do the job. if you were after canadas exclusively, then i`d get a bigger load. but for general pond stuff. they are good enough. kent
feeling flush were you? they will be ok for any goose over a flightpond, you cant realy overkill a larger duck like mallard with shot only choke and range will smash them
Pole Star
Hi, I have just bought some Tungsten Matrix 32g #3, will these bo okay for ducks and geese over a flightpond? I am slightly concerned that they aren't enough for the geese and too much for the ducks, what do you think? They will be fine if your on em, I shot a nice high Pinkfoot flighting back into a Lough last season with tungsten & it worked fine & I was using 4s through a full choke . I cant speak about Canadas or steel shot but the there is a lot of Bunkum spoken about goose loads , a Goose is not a hard bird to kill ! , & thats from a man who has shot a lot of geese with light loads ( stone dead). anser2
3s are ok as a load to cover both geese and ducks , but if you buy any more I would go for no 6 or 5 for duck ( you will get a better pattern )and 3s or 1s for geese.
