JustJon
Has anyone got any ideas on how to stop my dog licking the sofa? Jack Russell - lovely curled up with us at nights but my sofa gets very wet! Jon

ziplex
Leather, thinking it's a fetish Our young springer is blighted with the very same 'leather fetish'......she's a strange little sort Don't know why she does it, I don't really care to be honest and stops if she's told to. However, if I could stop her eating cow **** i'd be delighted, there must be a link there somewhere
jimmyb79
My cocker licks the sofa, window, walls, floor, rug - whatever she can find. Mainly during the evenings, and so far can't figure out any kind of cause! Oh and mine's a fabric sofa!
activeviii
mine does it on occasions, not as much now as she use to but then i think the clip around the ear holes helps towards stopping her

ack-ack
My Beagle licks the sofa, her bed and the upholstery in my van. The old sofa used to get a proper seeing to, I thought she was slashing on the arm rests until I caught her at it. She's mad for it. I give her a few stern words and she does the lady diana eyes, desists for 10 minutes and then gets cracking again with renewed vigour. I've never figured out my. Mungler
If you don't mind the risk of killing your dog, I can send you some of my wife's home cooking - a quick and light application of home cooked lasagne to your sofa ought to do the trick. It's also good for killing all biting insects and repelling rats and mice.

In that case I may well have her auntie, her attempt at replicating KFC chicken sauce may well put a stop to it, i'll give it a try

Kes
Please post up the recipe, I feel like getting my own back this winter I like Jams with the fruit flavour quite strong so I use half the quantity of sugar to fruit. Usually I use very ripe fruit and its a great jam but this year I tried it with some underripe plums and guessed the weight of sugar (too little). Bit like sucking on a lemon - a good natural laxative though !!!!!
