Crow killer
I was decoying in our field on Sunday and the birds were landing in my decoys and because of this I could not get many shots as the field has a footpath on the other side and I would have been shooting dangerously low towards it. Is there any method any of you know of to keep the birds On the wing rather than landing in the clover. I might try closing the space between the decoys a bit, as then the birds would not see as much space for landing.
.223
Crow killer you could try not using any static deeks just your magnet or a couple of floaters so the birds come in to have a look but cant see any birds feeding so hopefully they should just fly by but in range. or if there is a tree close by put some lofters up and shoot them coming to land in that. .
CrapShot
you could always try a pigeon magnet without any decoy pattern that way the birds will be pulled in but most of them will not commit to landing and fly away. I have never used this method its just a thought. Crapshot

The Sniper
Crow Killer, Could you have moved your decoy pattern so you were not firing towards the dangerous bit ?
Crow killer
I could not have moved my hide because it was in the only cover around the field appart from the foot path, but thanks for trying. I might try putting some decoys up on stakes to make them look stupid.
