Boromir
Does the pig have a better sense of smelling than a dog? Thanks
antuk99
Good question that with them using them to find troufles and all would be good a drug sniffer pig sure there's a joke somewhere
ack-ack
I'd say the pig would have a better sense of smell than most dog breeds. There must be scent hounds who's sense of smell is at least on par with pigs.
Fat Dog
I would love to see the look of our shoot captain if the we all turned up with pigs instead of labs to pick up !! Lol
gixer1
My brother wanted a "gun-pig" for years after he heard about a guy using one on the continent....he never actually had the balls to try it though.... Surley they would be a bit slower in the water an colder on a snowy morning? I have seen some pretty clever pigs though! Regards, Gixer

ME
There is only a few pints between and dog and a pig and I have had both in my time. They all smelled pretty bad..
crosshair
I think it was in the Victorian era when there was a famous working pig, in the shooting field. There was even a book written about her, "A pig called Slut". I know a lot of you will think this is a joke, but it is true.
Conygree
Yrs ago a Germany police drugs unit used a 'sniffer pig' really worked well but they got rid of it - bad for their image of being called 'pigs'. But knowing the police and their love of bacon butties I supected they were telling 'porkies'
