Never a dull day

On one of the farms I shoot over, there has been a change of contract farmers, so I dropped copies of my certs in to him yesterday and he asked me to make a start on the pigeons. As he farms some 3000 acres, I thought it prudent to do as he asked.

I was not busy to day so went along to have a good look around, and the birds were not feeding on the rape they are just picking around on the remaining wheat stubble.

I saw this lad working a hedge opposite from my hide, I hunted around in the bottom of my bag for a couple of bigger shells, slipped out the hide in to the ditch and worked my way up wind on his blind side through some scrub trees and cover.......
