cookery course

Given the success of the Deer Butchery Night at the Foragers...

I've mentioned it to the rest of the instructors on my Bushcraft course. They all want in too so hope there's still space. I think we should have an official list, first come first serve as the venue seems a squeeze.

Doesn't matter Pete, I eventually got through after about ten attempts.

So anyway, just off the blower to a nice lady at the cookery school. She ran me through everything.

Their parties are limited to 6 people, if you want to do the course inside. The times I posted earlier are actually events where up to six people can participate in a themed meal.

Starts at 11:00 and you're finished by 15:00. Glass of champagne and a drink included. You're shown how to cook the selected meal and then you get to eat it.

This package is £95 per person.

Just as a heads up Pete, the butchery night was £5 per person and we got to eat a range of meats and other food.

They can cater outside and recently looked after a group of 60 people. However the lady said that she was unable to disclose how much their clients' pay, but they would be more than happy to create a costing based on our exact requirements. - I couldn't confirm many details, so I had to leave that for now.

So, even if it's mildly cheaper than the £95 per head, you're going to have to suck up to your mate to knock that price right down to around what we paid for the butchery night.

Keep us posted :good:

Shame people didn't wait for me to talk to Dennis.

Those prices quoted above are for his actual cookery classes.we were thinking of something for about 15-20 people not one of his usual courses.

Ps the price we were thinking was no where near the £95 but remember 2star Michelin chefs aren't 2 a penny !

I didn't actually speak to Dennis.

If you were to call up now, they would be none the wiser that your idea was related to the call they received an hour ago. I just posed a question to them which would have not given them the slightest clue that we wanted a game cookery class, especially as I asked if they can do Sushi classes :yp:

A butcher like Colin isn't two a penny either.

As mentioned, I am 100% up for this, don't get me wrong. However, I have to know when this is going to be for by tomorrow. If you've got time to be on here answering all our questions, you've got time to go and get on Dennis' back and sort this out. :good:

just a thought Peter,

the pub where we done the butchery do said they want to do another night,

why dont you ask your mate Dennis if he wants to do demo at the pub, i could prepare the game for cooking at the same time your mate could cook it on a portable stove on the table next to each other and everyone can taste as we go,

bit of a Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall style demo

I would like to be first on the list, date dependent.

Not fussed about being served first.

I am sure me and Terry could share transport if there is beverage involved.

I'll be there too. Maybe a taxi between us! The bushcraft guys will be getting a coach as coming from Oxford
