huffhuff
I have had an F1, and could be tempted to another. Nice knife, well balanced and made well as you'd expect from the Sweeeedes. Personally, I found the scales/handle slippery when covered in blood and guts. That then makes the small quillon almost redundant. The spine is quite angled and isn't the most comfortable when using for a long period. It's no good for carving and the blade is 4mm thick so no good for decent game dressing. But I think knife choice is very personal and there is no 'one size fits all' solution. Hence I have had the last two custom made with a third on the way. But it is a very good knife and well thought of. I think it is/was the knife of choice for Swedish Military/Airman. How much do you think you could get it for? barrelsniffer
I recently bought a Fällkniven H1 Hunting Knife (3G Steel) and i find it a very well made knife..but they could of made a better Zytel Sheath which is the plastic sheath..seems very cheaply made compared to the knife.. would be interesting to know how much you can get the F1 for ? njc110381
I've got an F1 and love it. Great little knife. It holds an edge very well and I find it very comfortable to use as my hands are quite small as is the handle on these. Whether to buy it? Well a Mora is just as good for skinning and gutting but the F1 is something a little more special if you like that sort of thing.
rimfire4969
I have a F1 in my collection, if I have some heavy work or if my lad wants to do a bit of bushcraft this is the knife I pull from the draw. They are extremely well made and take a load of abuse and keep a very good edge. With the abuse mine gets I don't think a mora would last long and I would not use one of my custom knifes for the sane task. I paid about £100 for mine, if you are getting one half price I would grab it quick or let me know where I can get one for that price. C00KIE
Right guys, I will be buying one for myself any how, but the story is my cousin in Australia can get a supply of them and is willing to some send over to me. The only issue is that there will be approx. a 3 to 4 week wait for them to get here. They are sent this way to minimise the risk of loss or interuption at customs etc, etc. and it keeps the costs down. It is all above board and totally legal, so don't worry. The price for the F1 is £55 to me. The Buck 768 knife i can get also will be £30 to me, then if you want one i will add a couple of quid postage to get it to you this end. I will ask a £20 deposit from every person per knife, sent via paypal. This will be kept in my account until the knives are here then i can contact you for a delivery address and final payment. I hope you understand that i need to do this as it is a lot of money to fork out and then to decide you may not want it, i will be out of pocket. Like i say the only issue is the waiting time for the knives. If you are interested please PM me so as i can reply individually, Cheers Cookie
huffhuff
I'd probably have one at that price - assuming it comes with a sheath too. Although, not too sure about leaving you with my money for weeks on end. No offence...but you are hardly a regular. How about I give you my word that if and when they land, I will give you the money. I don't think you'll have a problem selling them on at that price.
C00KIE
Comes with a leather sheath. Deposit i knew would be a sticky point with this type of thing, i`ll let you know if it can be done any other way. Dependant on how many people require would depend on if i can stand the cost up front myself. Cookie
huffhuff
Don't get me wrong, I think there needs to be a level of commitment. It is just you are a complete stranger wanting £20 off me and you've only been here 3 months But, I would definitely have one off you at that price. In which case although still probably a good price it would not be quite so good...
C00KIE
Haven`t been hit with any customs charges as yet and i`ve had a fair few things sent over. But thats the chance i suppose. I will order a couple and offer up on a first come first served basis. Can't say fairer than that. Cookie
