shutemytee
Just had a really good day with Baker Boy in Hertfordshire. My first time out over pigeon. BB was is excellent tutor, talked me through the ground, flight lines, decoys (shape and wind direction) and setting up the hide. Not a lot of birds around but I learened a lot and will never forget the day. BB is a terrific chap and knows his stuff. He loves helping out. Some might wonder where I got my name from 'shutemytee' It's exactly what it says I wanted to 'shoot my tea' which is what I did and the pigeon was delicious. Excellent day, thanks again BB. Shute. bakerboy
I enjoyed your company, nearly as much as the wine you gave me. You shot well and as you have discovered the pigeons take some bringing down. Next time out you will have some more without a doubt. You only missed a few, the rest you hit good and hard but they flew on only to drop a bit later I suspect. I look forward to meeting up again. Terry ps How was the Goats Cheese?, Angela and Alan always like a bit of feed back
shutemytee
You can tell Angela and Alan the Piri Piri was lovely. The smoked was not as strong as I thought it would be but very nice. I've saved the Hot Wobbly for a treat tomorrow and am saving the soft one. Cheers Stephen. Dorsey
Hot wobblies and soft ones? Is this some new sort of decoying technique? Congrats on your first of many pigeon shoots!
bakerboy
Hot wobblies and soft ones? Is this some new sort of decoying technique? Congrats on your first of many pigeon shoots! Hot Wobbly and PiriPiri are two of the very best Goats Cheese's you can buy. The Hot Wobbly is a Hard Goats Cheese with Chillies, out of this world. The PirPiri has just won a Cheese council award for innovation. The Soft Cheese is coated in sweet peppers and once again is a super cheese to eat. So when someone comes on the pigeons with me there is always a little something extra. Edited October 13, 2011 by bakerboy
