oscarsdad
I have my name down for a cocker pup due to be born next week from a breeder in my village-I just wondered if anyone has any thoughts (good or not) on the lines as I am new to cockers. I am still researching the details, the breeder did tell me the sire of the pups and he was FTCH but I have forgotten his name! But the dam is: Sire- FTCH Maessyderwen Scimitar Dam- Maesysaith Briallen I am intending to use him for rough shooting and shooting from a hide (yes, I know there are a lot of people who will say I need a lab for that) and I may see if I can get into trialling at some point as well. oscarsdad
I have now become confused! The bloodlines of the dam of the pup I will have are as I mentioned, ie Sire- FTCH Maessyderwen Scimitar Dam- Maesysaith Briallen The pup's bloodlines are therefore those above crossed with those of the sire (who's name I will have to find out) who is FTCH I am told. It sounds positive from the mother of my future dog's side at least! Thanks for the positive comments! I will ge the little fella on Christmas eve if they are born on time so will be an interesting Christmas!
