Oneshot nicked my fox.

We were out on a callout to day in south Lanarkshire the terriers worked through the gully but there were no foxes at home above or below ground. We carried on to check some whin banks first one drew a blank you could tell from the terriers body language there was b*gger all at home next farm over all of a sudden you could see the differance in attitude right away two foxes showed in front of oneshot but went back in the terriers pushed one out in front of oneshot and he hit it and rolled it with his first shot :shoot: but could'nt finnish it off as Miko (the terrier in my avatar) was too close it ran back into the whins and managed to shake Miko off at a rock face, as it ran down the outside of the whins towards me I was just slipping my safety off with my head down as it approached me when oneshot shot and killed it :shoot: from the left of my position it was a safe crossing shot for him. We were pleased to get it as Miko was working alone with a novice bitch as Meg and Suzie are in heat plus we had a 16 week pup out for its first sniff at a fox. So the question is when oneshot comes in to borrow my Baikal sbs next week (he stays next door) shall I just tell him to :devil: ****** off :lol:or will I continue to be the :smartass: Benevolent old Gentleman??? :santa: thats taught him so much :hmm:

I hate when that happens. I bet you've only just got over the shock of a shot you weren't expecting?

I was doing a Squirrel walk with a mate of mine the other day and obviously overlooked one. The first I knew of it was a horribly loud boom (he was about ten yards behnd me). I ducked instinctively and the dead Squirrel landed on my head! :oops:

He's a good safe bloke and the shot was well over me but I still jumped a mile. Trouble is it's a good way to shoot Squirrels as they often spot you coming and work around a branch to hide. As they do the second bloke has a clear shot ans more often than not gets the job done.

I'd say lend him your gun - he's obviously quicker than you! :lol:

The terrier in my avatar is Miko he was 7 on Saturday I have his mother Meg she is twelve and a half and is still working I retired her mother at ten and she did'nt last three months in the house suffering a series of strokes until I came home from a National working terrier federation meeting to find her dead on my bed so as long as meg wants to come out she will have a kennel space in the landrover or she'll be at my side out with the hounds both of us are on our way out but

WE'RE NO DEID YIT!! :no::lol::lol::lol:
