Just went out for a dander this morning too see if I could bag a few Woodies, they were scarce, and the few I did see were shifting so fast (on account of the wind) that they were impossible to get a shot at.

On the way back to the car I stood under a big oak tree near the farmyard and managed to down a passing Rook. Now heres the funny part, I stuck him head first in a pile of sand and let his wings flap about in the wind (which was quite strong). This seemed to pull any passing corvids in like a magnet and they all barged like hell at the sight of the dead rook and its flapping wings. Any how, I managed another 5 that came in range and put them in the sand also, the other rooks seem to loss interest after that but a good mornings craic.
