Due to the current weather we are enjoying  in the south west i want to know if anyones had any success with rabbits in the rain before. As is normal ive got a day off and plenty of time to go to my permission but the weather has other plans. Ive never tried in the rain before because as far as i can work out every animal with a gram of sense would prefer to avoid the rain :hmm:

Has anyone ever been successful because after this mornings failed outing i want to get my own back particuarlly on the squirell that was teasing me for about 20 minutes

Thanks in advance

Squirrels & rabbits don't like to get wet & cold, so they're only going to be out in the rain if they're desperate for food.

Squizzers are out in numbers at the mo' still fattening up before winter. They don't mind the cold but don't like the wet.

One of the blighters had the audacity to turn up in my garden on Sunday afternoon, just as I was taking a rifle into the garage to clean it up after a session at the range. Bad timing for one of us.

Large male with a lot of weight on him, but still dead as a *******. LOL

rabbits don't mind the rain at all, a cold wind and rain is different though!

I have never picked a dripping wet rabbit up on a wet stinking night ever.

In the day time if you have a good gorse hill side or hawthorn thicket with lots of burrows they will be out but just tucked out the rain, especially the bucks.

Love it, the rain quietens the ground, just move slow.
