LG,

Folks start forums, BBS's, whatever you wish to call them because they enjoy the subject. If they are only providing a forum for like minded folk in order to make money from potential future sponsors, then perhaps they should get a full time job and earn a wage.

Thats the ethos behind OUR forum anyway. :good:

LG,

I was in no way referring to you when I mentioned jobs. And I fully concur about the being a Dad bit!!

What really gets on my wick is the constant whinging from certain people about the need for, or potential loss of sponsorship. :good: No BBS needs sponsorship to run it and it SHOULD be a labour of love.

If you can attract sponsors then fine. If they will pay you lots of money, better still. But PLEASE lads don't waffle on about "the site will fold" without a sponsor. Thats utter bull.

(I was careful not to swear!)

edited to say I couldn't give a flying **** about shootwarehouse!!

deako I suggest you buy a pair of glasses, and perhaps take some schizophrenic tablets as the only whinging I see on pigeonwatch seems to come from you. :good:

Anyway- back on topic- we have a no-swearing policy. We should have had it from the start, but didn't because we hoped people would be responsible enough. Pigeonwatch has a wide audience with tens of thousands of unique visitors each month, and so is a good advertising tool for the sport. In this respect we think a policy of no swearing is a good thing for the site.
