Clydebuilt
Guys, My semi-auto has jammed it's last jam...missed a left/right lastnight due to this so no more. Going back to a conventional o/u but need recommendations? My clay gun is a nice mk38 but isn't steel proofed and I don't want to use it on the foreshore but would happily use another miroku if they do a 3" clambered and steel proofed model?? not had chance to research much yet so thought I'd ask you boys first. Anyway, let me know your thoughts, don't need a London best as it will be a rough/wildfowling piece but need the reliability. cheers Clyde

poontang
I use a Browning Waterfowl o/u 3.5" chambers and steel proofed. It's built around the 425 action. You won't go far wrong with one of those.

It is 3" chamber but that'll do me fine, otherwise, a strong & well made action which will suit my needs down to the ground and no jamming.. I don't think it's worth the unreliablility for an extra shot to be honest! Cheers Clyde

Clydebuilt
Well just a quick report regarding the recommended 425. Had a cracker of a day with it yesterday. Nailed some high & fast birds that were really motoring in the fierce wind (luckily witnessed or nobody would believe me ) so all in all pleased with the Browning. AND, no jamming.... cheers Clyde

HDAV
Nice work, glad your pleased with it, 2 shots in confidence is far better than 1, or may be 2 or perhaps 3..... also no fetching empties out of bushes, bogs, puddles (or littering) Edited October 30, 2011 by HDAV
