Guys,

My semi-auto has jammed it's last jam...missed a left/right lastnight due to this so no more.

Going back to a conventional o/u but need recommendations?

My clay gun is a nice mk38 but isn't steel proofed and I don't want to use it on the foreshore but would happily use another miroku if they do a 3" clambered and steel proofed model?? not had chance to research much yet so thought I'd ask you boys first.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts, don't need a London best as it will be a rough/wildfowling piece but need the reliability.

cheers

Clyde

Browning 525 v similar to the MK38 and 3" steel proof they do a 3.5" O/U in the 425 or did not sure if there is a 525 equivalent.

425 wildfowl http://browning.eu/products/firearm.php?productsarea=browning&sommaire=Over%20and%20under&classe=b425&famille=B425+WATERFOWL+12M

HAve read http://browning.eu/fiches/steelshot.html so a newer miroku might be 3" and steel

One almost local http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/091022163226005 description says 3" but may well be wrong

HDAV,

Thank you very mch for the info and links

Your right, the one on gun trader was almost local so I went by today and bought it!

It is 3" chamber but that'll do me fine, otherwise, a strong & well made action which will suit my needs down to the ground and no jamming.. I don't think it's worth the unreliablility for an extra shot to be honest!

Cheers

Blimey nice one my friend, I should be on commission... I have a 525 3" steel proof lovely gun.

You should find it similar to the MK38 perhaps a bit lower in the comb. Hope you enjoy it.

On a side note, its already off guntrader! An on the ball RFD! every time i see something i like its sold!

I ddn't waste any time hehheh, couldn't wait to get rid of the semi

First time I've used that particular dealer HDAV and he was a breath of fresh air, nice guy, good craic etc

I've got a local day walked up tomorrow so will put it through it's paces and see how I fare, nice reassuring weight to it and comes up lovely so no complaints.

Cheers again

Well just a quick report regarding the recommended 425.

Had a cracker of a day with it yesterday.

Nailed some high & fast birds that were really motoring in the fierce wind (luckily witnessed or nobody would believe me :) )

so all in all pleased with the Browning.

AND, no jamming....

cheers
