hodge911
Never good, mine always seem to happen when i have no money. Was it the 2.4 or the 3.0 you have? you said it mate what was at first a cheap buy aint now had it for 4 weeks now. two days into having it on the road the water pump started to leak ordered new one took radiator off to replace pump and the rad was way past its best so new rad aswell. so with buying it replacing panels, mot, tax water,pump/rad,bits needed for mot i,m now into it for nearly £880 now ive got to find a chuffing engine . oh its the 2.4 Edited October 31, 2011 by hodge911

CZ550Kevlar
Should have bought a Landrover. Yeah bits are easier to replace because you will be doing so many times!!!
hodge911
not "the old should have bought a landrover" i didnt because i dont peticularly like them . i know a few lads with them old and new and they go wrong just as much as any other 4x4 . not the head it sounds like a small end gone to the burton or possibly dropped a valve
ferguson_tom
Yer the 2.4s have not got the best reviews but a good engine when working. Thats a lot of money to find on a cheap motor hope you get it all sorted soon. A few years ago my first car a little renault clio decided to snap a cambelt 10,000 miles early on boxing day, I soon learnt to rebuild engines and grind valves in that xmas. I am not sure how easy it would be but might be worth looking at the 3.0 as meant to be more reliable.
crossy 666
I have the same problem mate. I have a L200 4X4 that is allergic to snow/cold. I have had it 4 years now and it brakes every time it snows
