On two shoots I have personally shot 264 with the shotgun from Feb 1st, and I know one of the keepers has had over 100 with his .17 HMR shooting them under feeders or on feed rides. My personal best is 30 in one day about a month ago, followed by a 24 the week after. Just wondered what your personal records are on greys and whether you have seen alot this year? sir jasper Posted November 4, 2011 Report Share Posted November 4, 2011 Squirrels, the never ebbing grey tide - doesn't matter how many you cull, others will soon take their place. Over the last 4 years, I've been keeping the grey population right down over an area of approx 10 acres. The loss of greys to this habitat has been incredibly beneficial to the native species.
