The leather washer is a good fit and undamaged put seems dry? any gun oil or 3-in-1 should do the trick with no problems (except a little smoke for the first few shots), otherwise you could go to a cobbler & invest in some 'leather treatment oil' (used for shoes & leather jackets) :yp: the washer will only need 1 drop which will last for quite some time. (these washers often seem dry but nevertheless should fit almost flush with the breech, if it's too swollen it'll get chewed up & won't work when it does dry out some! ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The best oil you can use is Pure Vegetable Oil, as it feeds the leather. If its good enough for John Knibbs, its good enough for me. I have used this on my Meteor and the washer is as good as new. The 1st shot was like a cannon going off and the second shot. loads of white smoke, 20 shot on power dropped off. and only slightly dieseling. power seems back to norm.
