Thinking of getting a pair of these in place of rubber boots for those days when its wet underfoot but not necessarily standing about in water for hours.

Are they comfortable, are they waterproof and will they last reasonably?

I think they are just leather boots, ie no lining :hmm:http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=cabotswood%20brecon&source=web&cd=9&ved=0CHgQgwgwCA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crosscountrystyle.co.uk%2Fcountry-style-c2%2Ffootwear-c272%2Fcasual-boots-c385%2Fcabotswood-brecon-unisex-waterproof-boots-p3937%2Fs10163%3Futm_source%3Dfroogle%26utm_medium%3Dppc%26utm_term%3Dcabotswood-brecon-boots-colour-chestnut-size-eur-38-colour-chestnut-size-eur-38-0091320027017%26utm_campaign%3Dfroogle&ei=fi2-TuLQMMr28gP4p5WDCw&usg=AFQjCNEu_VaLlynQlz39P_xRnyQUnPUzNQ

The Rydale boots have a gore-tex lining and are definitely waterproof.

How long these boots will last I dont know, however, I know of a few people who have had the Rydale boots for a few years now and wear them daily around their stables, and swear by them :good:

Failing that I may be able to get you some Le-Chameau Vatna2 boots for a little more than the Cabotswood boots ;)

Thanks for that. They are sold as waterproof but having just tried a pair on this morning I have to say that their sizing is a bit on the mean side and they were just too small, and that was the largest size they do. Apparently all this type of leather boot suffers from the same sizing problem, unless you go a bit more up market but I ain`t paying £300 for a pair of Hunter or Barbour boots.

I`ve just tried MPK`s pair of Muckboots and was very impressed with the level of comfort. I`m sorely tempted to get a pair of them.

It's like walking on central heated clouds, I have even pondered on wearing them to bed ;)

Ended up with the Muckboots. I don`t know how well they`ll last, but they are without doubt the most comfortable wellies I`ve ever worn.

I must stop repeating myself like that.
