Single gun clamp

Hi all. I was thinking of getting a single gun clamp to fit in my understands cupboard so I don't have to wake the family up opening the gun cabinet when I'm off out early in the morning or coming in from lamping. What I was wondering is will a scoped rifle fit in one and does anybody use one to store a rifle? Don't want to buy one the find out it doesn't fit. Any advice appreciated. Cheers owain.

Thanks for the replies. I dont think the FEO will have a problem with it as there pretty good up here and its only for a couple of hours either end of the day and the bolt will be removed, unfortunatly theres no room for a proper cabinet anywhere else in the house. My main cabinet is in a very full built in cupboard in my bedroom so no chance of getting in and out without waking the dead. I was just wondering if anybody would know if a rifle would fit in one.

Cheers Owain

not sure if a clamp will fit a scoped rifle the clamps are relatively rare, for shotguns there are other options http://www.chamberlock.com/index.htm I would check with FEO first then try and find a clamp and see if it fits. FEO may be happy with a cable through the mechanism securely fitted. I think its dodgy ground as it is the cert holders responsibility to secure the guns.
