labstaff
Hi all, I had an FAC for 10 years for .22 rimfire, 5 years as an open. As I didn't get chance to use it much I surrendered it (about 5 years ago). I'm now shooting more and intend to apply again. My question is this, will I be granted an open ticket? Thanks Leigh

kyska
Doubt it. Stop beating around the bush fella... I also think you'll be starting a fresh.
apache
Would be madness for them to give you anything other than an open cert. Do you have a photocopy of your old cert?
labstaff
I guessed I would be starting a fresh but it has to be worth a try, they can only say no. Unfortunately I didn't keep a copy of my old FAC, and i'm not sure how long they retain the data for, i'm guessing after 5 years it may have been disposed of. May have to do a little research into MoPI and contact BASC. Thanks all.
kent
They only need evidence, i know ex-forces etc who have had it granted from the off (not reguar squadies)It asks you on the forms anyhow. I had this many years ago
cometa24/7
I think it's worth a try,and i also think that they will have records somewhere in there office/system to allow them as much information on you as needed, and at the end of the day, open tickets are only given out to those with sufficant exsperence, therefore they'er jugement of a particular piece of land is safe. go for it,and good luck.let us know how long it takes and what happend
