TaxiDriver
I've tried searching on PW but nothing comes up If as a private individual I sell an Air Rifle (sub 12ft/lbs) to another private individual, What's the most cost effective and legal way to do it ? RFD to RFD I reckon is gonna be too expensive from what I've heard, RFDNET is £14.99 + VAT and then the RFD charge at receiving end.
bruno22rf
As long as you have proof that the buyer is over 18 (to cover yourself)then the post office will deliver it-not sure if its Parcelforce or Royal Mail but they will advise you.Normally about £12 but depends on the weight. Verminator 66
the only way I would send it is Royal Mail Special Delivery they are allowed to carry them I tried to get a gun from Norfolk once with RFD.Net what a performance Gave up in the end Edited December 3, 2011 by Verminator
Wriggler
Royal mail will carry air rifles sent standard parcels, I don't think parcel force will carry them. I've posted a couple and I just wrapped them carefully and marked them fragile, it costs just over £10. If they don't ask what it is don't tell them, it's not illegal to send airguns through the post. As has been said just try to make sure the buyer is over 18. vampire
Royal mail is best for air rifles/cheapest and legal as long as person receiving parcel is 18 yrs old
