Dekers
Hi, My plastic bolt shroud on my Tikka T3 has cracked , where is the best and quickest place to order the metal replacement units. Regards, Reggiegun Maybe I have misunderstood something here but it is plastic, it cracked on my T3 Lite about 4 years ago, GMK just sent another. What is the metal replacement you are referring to? What is the metal replacement you are referring to? Think he's refering to an aftermarket shroud, theres a company that does them but the name escapes me at the moment. Think there's an Australian crowd that do them. Edited December 3, 2011 by tikka.

Dekers
Cheers, and I hold my hand up and say I didn't know a metal aftermarket part/s were available. BUT...£45 for a part that adds nothing to the shooting capabilities/accuracy of the gun, is purely for aesthetics. Fair dos if you want to but I don't need to spend money that way. The plastic one split on mine, I could see how and why when I got the replacement so I spent 2 minutes with the Stanley knife and very fine wet and dry to solve the poor fitting problem, job done! ATB! Edited December 3, 2011 by Dekers

ATB! the plastic end cap is not just for aesthetics, if you had a primer punctured the gas will blow back through the bolt and directed safely out the end of the cap (and not toward the shooters eye), few years back i seen this happen on a firing range, the pressure blew the plastic cap apart :o

Far better bit of kit than the crappy plastic one it's supplied with
Sprags
As has been said by Snowz, Uk-Gunworks can supply them.
