margun
Saw packs in my local Morrisons branch of a brace of oven ready red-legged partridge. £7 per pack so quite steep, but I make that Waitrose, Sainsburys and Morrisons now that I've seen with game on sale. It has to be good that they make a point of putting game in their 'The Best' etc ranges, it'll make the public see game as the delicacy it is and therefore be more sympathetic to game shooting... Brigsy
My Tesco local as well. Red legs at £3.50 each. Also some other game packs as well.
margun
Blimey didn't realise it was so widespread! I has to be a good thing, but I wish I could get my game to be as feather free after I've plucked it. Also I don't get how they manage to select the ones with no visible pellet wounds when they're still in feather. Saying that though, Waitrose do wild mallard for about a fiver which has gunshot and a few feathers all on show still always sold out
Sprackles
The reason they charge so much is because those they have rejected are factored in. How many times have we all plucked a bird only to find it too badly shot to eat.
