    Black labs

Still have a couple left, they were health checked and chipped yesterday.

    Black labs

Thanks, they are a superb litter (even though I'm biased!)

Black lab pups. Ready to go 16/03/22. Both parents working. Dogs available- we only had two bitches from this litter of which we are keeping one. Mother, grandmother can be seen as they are ours. Pups will come with KC registration (subject to the Kennel Club usual working from home delays), worming, vet check and microchips.Pm for more pictures and details.Pups will only go to decent homes- preferably working.Canterbury area.1500GBP.
  4. Personally, I can't see much more than sabre rattling, as he often has. What does he have to gain? Ukraine is laden with natural resources, sure- in the current 'green' era perhaps this is attractive? Sanctions on exporting such riches would surely follow any invasion, except maybe to China.
  5. Logged back in for the first time in a while and really sad to see this news first off. An old school contributor to these boards.
  6. This. Everyone criticised Trump early on for saying the USA was successful in having the highest number of cases, because they had the highest rate of testing.
  7. Kids are back to school, usual September sniffles, but everyone is running for Covid tests to get a negative result so they can prove they're safe to go back to work/school.
  8. I don't get why the government gave any warning at all over the latest quaratine measures. The risk has been known for months. All we have now thanks to the warning is hundreds of thousands pouring back in with no quarantine (until tomorrow, if they actually follow it). Not sure what the 4am deadline will achieve in terms of risk mitigation, if its bad enough in France to impose quaratine then loads of cases are already coming by the hour.

    New Virus.

Mutation, which a virus tends to do. No firm diagnosis yet so one to watch.

    Deaths

It's been said many times before, but testing regimes explains a lot. Countries with reliable in house testing tend to show a lower percentage. Why the UK hasn't kept up is a different question and one that will be scrutinised for years to come. Data is king to my mind and say not enough is being gathered, this will change as time passes I'm sure.
  11. Distasteful. It's having members like yourself that made me start lurking this forum rather than contributing a while back. If you don't like the monarchy, move to France.
  12. As someone said, briefing notes will follow to clear that up, the PM only had 5 minutes on TV. I would expect the list of key workers already announced will be the list of 'essential' work.
  13. The world governments have likely already agreed to pay for this through very long term bonds, printing money off the back of those bonds. It's all funny money anyway, gives a fine excuse to crank up interest rates in the long term. Every country is screwed financially over this one, it'll be seen as a historic reset of the financial system. 2008 was a puppy dog by the numbers going into this.

    Pubs,

Same. Have they set up a takeaway service? Many near me have. If you want a pub the other side of this crisis then they need to be supported, through takeaways, buying vouchers to spend in house etc.

    Good old boris

Common cold is a coronavirus and still no cure for that, just evolved and understood. This new beast isn't known hence why no chances taken, not enough data yet to understand it. Knowing who had had it and got over it without knowing would help close the loop. I feel for your daughter, 3 friends of mine including my youngest's godmother have postponed weddings already. One at the beginning of October. A properly **** situation but one that must be faced down.
  16. Absolutely he can have a gun in a council house.

    Boris

I think he is doing a sound job so far out of a really **** situation. The media accusing him of 'u-turns' (e.g. over upping the test kit purchasing) are talking ********. He has surrounded himself with very competent people which is what a leader needs to do. Also it has been made clear from the start that this will evolve and strategies will change quickly. So people should lay off and let them do their jobs.
  18. Probably wouldn't join a 'pox party' given the invite. This sort of party usually ends up with antibiotics-which won't work with this one 😈
  19. Good call on cormorant there’s thousands of the blighters round here, fish less so.
  20. Perfectly legal if you happen to be wanting to foster additional oak trees for your woodland and want to protect the acorns would be my argument. Or to preemptively reduce the large groups before they wallop the Spring rape (that might be stretching it!).
  21. Doubt that will happen- Govt departments are so stripped of funds as it is these days, to manage massive new admin will take a huge uplift in budget. That might require Hammond to announce those funds in the Spring budget? Could backfire if the public realise they are getting ripped off to satisfy some BBC / trendy vegan wallys when everything worked fine before.
