Before you set your heart on it, have you tried one first?

Have you tried other makes of semi-auto?

The Benelli operates by a rotating bolt, and some would say that the felt recoil is higher then gas-operated semi's such as Beretta. Having said that, Benelli's have a very good reliability reputation.

I have a couple of keeper friends who swear by their Benelli's, and they are chucked about in the back of landrovers with no seeming adverse effects apart from damage to the woodwork and bluing.

Try first!

I have been looking at Benelli for a while now and I'm going to buy the M2. I'm no expert on the subject of semis as the M2 will be my first.

The M1 is a highly rated gun and is considered the work horse of the range. 3" chambers lots of choice ref barrel length, cammo or black synth. Its relatively light wieght, inertia operated action. Apparently very quick and easy to clean, super reliable and fast shooting. Will also cycle light loads.

Check out the web site www.benelliusa.com ( not sure how to post link)

If you are not convinced then phone John Forsey Guns. Number is in most gun mags.
