40grain
Must be quite a rare pair of medals, I did not think the French did much fighting in the first world war, come to think of it they did not do a lot more in the second world war either!!!! Good luck the sale
bruno22rf
132500 French soldiers KIA plus 107000 members of the resistance not enough casualties for you? Add the 79000 innocent civilians if you need more-nothing personal but its not really grounds for humour is it? Catamong
Yes, two very nice medals there, at a sensible price, I'm sure somebody will snap them up. I also think 40grain ought to brush up a bit on his European history before he knocks the French, he obviously didn't know that they mobilized 7.5 million troops to fight the 1st World War, 5.7 million of those were either killed or wounded, a far worse total in percentage terms than GB or even Germany, small wonder they weren't too prepared to slog it out against the Nazis in 1940. Here are a few of those brave "Poilus", may they rest in peace. Not only that, in recent times they had the good sense to opt out of the disastrous war with Iraq, they, (quite rightly with hindsight), didn't believe that Iraq had those "weapons of mass destruction". We could learn a lot from them. Cat Edited December 24, 2011 by Catamong
