Davy Holt
Hiya, I took the triple out for a few hours tonight to my normal foxing ground, I've had 48 off it this year so I'm trying to get to 50 before the end of the year It took a while but I eventually picked a pair of eyes out about 500 yards away on my neighbouring permission and they were heading my way, another quick flash and it was mooching about at the spot where I shot the one last Monday night 320 yards out, however this time due to the issues I had with the scope wasn’t confident in taking a long shot. I tried giving a couple of squeaks but he wasn't interested, I waited a bit longer and gave another flash of the lamp he was now 200 yards out and crossing the field in front of me. A quick cough seen him stop long enough for me to get the cross hairs on his engine room and let the 50 grain v-max loose. A solid thud and the sight of him crumpling on the spot signalled a clean kill, exit fox no 49 a stunning looking dog I hung about for another hour or so but no sign of any others wanting to play so I called it a night and headed home

Davy Holt
Hiya BB, What scope are you using on your .222,Davy? it's a Bushnell Banner Dawn & Dusk 6 -18 x 50, not too expensive but certainly does the job that I need it to do, even when I'm pushing the setup to limit at over 400 yards
